Multi-Tier DAO Treasury
Quadratic Voting & Dynamic Quorum Capital Allocation
A governance protocol designed to govern institutional treasury assets. Replaces naive 1-token-1-vote systems with square-root quadratic voting algorithms and tiered expenditure thresholds to safeguard DAO funds against hostile governance takeovers.
The Engineering Problem
Whale token holders routinely dominate flat token governance, allowing malicious actors to pass single-transaction treasury drains with low voter turnout.
Tiered Proposal Controller & Quadratic Tally Engine
Routes expenditure proposals to different validation pipelines based on fund request magnitude.
Tier 1 (Small Grants): Low quorum, 3-day vote duration, instant execution upon passage.
Tier 2 (Medium Expenditures): 20% quorum, 7-day vote duration, 24-hour timelock execution queue.
Tier 3 (Large Capital Allocations): 40% quorum, 14-day vote duration, quadratic voting tally, and multi-sig emergency veto window.
Technical Challenges & Mitigations
Gas-Efficient Integer Square Root on EVM
Implemented the Babylonian square root method in assembly to compute quadratic voting weights with minimal gas overhead.
Vote Sybil Resistance Within Smart Contracts
Coupled voter registration with snapshot block balance verifications, preventing flash-borrowing tokens immediately before proposal creation.
